
A World Heritage site, the Giants Causeway is only three miles from Turret Lodge and is well worth a visit. Drive into Bushmills and follow the signs to tread in the footsteps of Finn McCool, the famous giant who was said to have built the Causeway. An entry charge per car applies to which National Trust members are exempt.

Situated on the road to Portrush, Dunluce Castle occupies a stunning, if somewhat precarious position on the cliffs along the coastal path. A real site to see and worth exploring. Tours operate several times daily during peak season.
Originally a practical link to allow fishermen access to Carrick Island and a spot favoured by salmon, the bridge is now a seasonal challenge for the intrepid visitor. After walking along the beautiful coastal path, you will find yourself confronted by a precarious rope bridge, which crosses a 24m deep and 18m wide chasm to the tiny Carrick Island. The bridge is open from the middle of March until the end of October. A small entry charge applies.
A wonderful place for a bracing walk at any time of the year. You need to be fit enough to climb over the sand dunes to the beach to enjoy the stunning seascape. Don.t be tempted to take a dip here though as the current is much too strong to allow safe swimming.
Take a long walk along White Rocks beach while the tide is out or drive to the tiny port of Port Bradden where you will find what is rumoured to be the smallest church in Ireland.
